People are participants, not leads.
Respect consent, context and the reasons someone chose to act.
A technology company with one organising purpose: using digital tools and AI to widen people’s access to, and participation in, the decisions that govern their lives.
Demtech grew out of years of digital organising in practice. The problem was never a shortage of software — it was that every available tool had been designed around marketing funnels and generic CRM workflows, then bent into a civic shape at a price most public-interest organisations cannot justify.
The platform should serve the goal, never quietly become it.
Digital action matters when it helps people build power and move institutions. Six commitments follow, and they constrain what we build.
Respect consent, context and the reasons someone chose to act.
No forced modules or rigid workflows to get one useful capability.
White-label throughout, so the organisation stays at the centre.
Analytics earn their place when a team acts differently because of them.
Where AI touches something consequential, a person can review and correct it.
Better to shift one real decision than to demonstrate well and change nothing.
Our flagship platform, BeCause, connects what public-interest teams usually assemble by hand: campaign actions, email, member data, decision-maker targeting, fundraising, publishing and analytics.
Alongside it we are building toward the other half of the problem — making legislation readable, governance legible, and honest convergence findable in what large populations actually think.
Constituencies, decision-makers, consent regimes and legal traditions all vary. The architecture has to accommodate that rather than pretend it does not exist — and the team is distributed across India, Australia and the USA partly for the same reason.
