These Terms and Conditions (“Terms”) govern your use of demtech.ai (the “website”), which is operated by Demtech Consulting Private Limited (“Demtech”, “we”, “us”). By using the website you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use it.
What the website is
The website describes Demtech, our vision and the products and services we are building or offering, and lets you contact us. It is provided for general information. Descriptions of products that are “in development” or “exploring” are statements of direction, not promises of availability, features or dates.
Our platform and services, including BeCause, are provided under separate written agreements with the organisations that use them. If there is a conflict between those agreements and these Terms, the agreement prevails for that service.
Using the website
You agree to use the website lawfully and respectfully. You must not:
- break the law or infringe anyone’s rights;
- try to gain unauthorised access to the website, our systems, dashboard or other users’ data;
- introduce malware, overload the website or interfere with its operation;
- scrape, copy or collect data from the website in bulk by automated means without our written permission;
- send spam, misleading or abusive messages through our forms.
We may block access or remove content where we reasonably believe these Terms have been broken.
Intellectual property
The website, including its text, design, graphics, logos, the Demtech and BeCause names and the software that runs it, belongs to Demtech or its licensors and is protected by intellectual property laws. You may view and share links to the website and print pages for your own non-commercial use. You may not reproduce, modify, distribute or create derivative works from it without our written permission.
Messages and ideas you send us
We welcome ideas about how technology and AI could strengthen democracy. Ideas and messages you send remain yours. By sending them you give us permission to read, store and use them to respond to you and to evaluate them. Please do not send confidential, commercially sensitive or personal information you would not want us to hold; if you wish to share something in confidence, ask us first so that a suitable agreement can be put in place. No warranties
The website and its content are provided “as is” and “as available”. We try to keep information accurate and up to date but do not guarantee that it is complete, current or error-free, or that the website will be uninterrupted or secure. Nothing on the website is legal, financial, political or other professional advice.
Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Demtech and its directors, employees and partners are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special or consequential loss, or for loss of profits, data or goodwill, arising from your use of, or inability to use, the website. Our total liability for any claim relating to the website is limited to INR 10,000. Nothing in these Terms excludes liability that cannot be excluded by law, such as liability for fraud or for death or personal injury caused by negligence.

The website may link to third-party sites. They are outside our control, and we are not responsible for their content, availability or practices. A link is not an endorsement.
Your responsibility
You agree to compensate Demtech for losses and reasonable costs arising from your breach of these Terms or your unlawful use of the website.

We may change, suspend or discontinue any part of the website at any time, and we may update these Terms. The “last updated” date shows when they last changed. Continuing to use the website after a change means you accept the updated Terms.
Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of India. Subject to any mandatory rights you have under the law of the place where you live, the courts at Bengaluru, Karnataka have exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute arising from them or from the website.
